The menu bar icon is missing on my Mac
macOS hides menu bar icons until they are allowed. Open System Settings → Menu Bar and turn Chute on under "Allow in the Menu Bar". Chute's settings have a button that opens that page.
Return in the clipboard panel does not paste
Pasting into another app needs Accessibility: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → Chute. Without it, Chute puts the item on the clipboard and you press ⌘V.
My iPhone does not show what I keep on the Mac
Both devices need the same Apple Account in iCloud and sync turned on in Chute's settings. The first sync of a large library can take a few minutes.
Scans and documents from Apple Notes did not come across
Apple Notes gives other apps the text and pictures of a note, but not its scans and documents. Each one is named in its note with 📎. To keep one, drag it out of the note onto the Chute window on your Mac, or share it to Chute from Notes on your iPhone.
How do I move my notes from Obsidian or Notion?
On the Mac: File → Import from Another App. An Obsidian vault is a folder already. In Notion, use Settings → Export all workspace content → Markdown, unzip it, and choose that folder.
How do I delete everything?
Chute → Settings → Start Over → Erase Everything. It removes your library on all your devices; a copy is kept on your Mac first.
На Mac не видно значка в строке меню
macOS прячет значки, пока их не разрешили. Откройте Системные настройки → Строка меню и включите Chute в «Разрешить в строке меню». В настройках Chute есть кнопка, которая открывает этот раздел.
Return в панели буфера не вставляет
Для вставки в другое приложение нужен Универсальный доступ: Системные настройки → Конфиденциальность и безопасность → Универсальный доступ → Chute. Без него Chute кладёт запись в буфер, а ⌘V вы нажимаете сами.
На iPhone не появляется то, что я сохраняю на Mac
На обоих устройствах нужен один Apple Account в iCloud и включённая синхронизация в настройках Chute. Первая синхронизация большой библиотеки может занять несколько минут.
Не перенеслись сканы и документы из Apple Notes
Apple Notes отдаёт другим приложениям текст и картинки заметки, но не сканы и документы. Каждое такое вложение названо в своей заметке значком 📎. Чтобы сохранить его, перетащите его из заметки на окно Chute на Mac или отправьте в Chute через «Поделиться» из Notes на iPhone.
Как перенести заметки из Obsidian или Notion?
На Mac: File → Import from Another App. Хранилище Obsidian — это уже папка. В Notion: Settings → Export all workspace content → Markdown, распакуйте архив и выберите эту папку.
Как удалить всё?
Chute → Настройки → Start Over → Erase Everything. Библиотека удалится на всех ваших устройствах; перед этим на Mac сохраняется копия.
